本书共七单元，内容包括：让梦想成真，弘扬中国传统文化坚定信念、传统文化、坚定的信念、“一带一路”倡议、人类共同未来共同体等。
通过《英语漫谈中国梦》的学习，学生在前期基础英语学习的基础之上，丰富了具有中国语言特色的词汇，加强了阅读、写作和翻译的能力，能够准确使用英语语言充分理解中国梦的理论内涵，学会用英语交流治国理政的方针要略，弘扬社会主义核心价值观，讲好中国故事，更好地传播中国文化，成为实现中国梦的践行者和追梦人。
当今世界，经济全球化和科技进步将不同国家和地区的人们紧密联系在一起。英语作为目前全球广泛使用的语言，是国际交往和科技、文化交流的重要工具。通过学习和使用英语，我们可以直接了解国外前沿的科技进展、管理经验和思想理念，学习和了解世界优秀的文化和文明，同时也有助于增强国家语言实力，有效传播中华文化，促进与各国人民的广泛交往，提升国家软实力。2016年9月，习近平总书记在全国高校思想政治工作会议上指出：“要坚持把立德树人作为中心环节，把思想政治工作贯穿教育教学全过程，实现全程育人、全方位育人。”“要用好课堂教学这个主渠道，提升思想政治教育亲和力和针对性，满足学生成长发展需求和期待，其他各门课都要守好一段渠、种好责任田，使各类课程与思想政治理论课同向同行，形成协同效应。”
