《英语综合教程》（第一册）是高职高专公共英语系列教材（共四册）之一。本册书是本系列教材的基础部分，每个单元主要由三部分组成。Section A：课文及与课文相关的单词、短语、练习和语法知识。每单元课文主题不同，但所节选的内容都是围绕培养学生学习习惯和能力展开。另外，还介绍了效率提升、职业生涯设计和创业等知识。所选课文内容贴近学生生活实际需要，可以激发学生的学习兴趣，使他们在英语语言知识的学习过程中，学会学习和思考。Section B: 阅读文章一篇，内容是对Section A的深化或补充，供学生课外阅读。Section C:附有大学公共英语三级B模拟题，适合学生练习使用。
